Default Ever use both hands to get out of 4th?

Went out for some fun on saturday night with a female friend. While playing with a GSXR750 on the highway, ran up hard into 4th. Then when I went to shift to 5th, I had to slam forward on the shifter with my right hand. Almost had to use both of them, but the car shifted fine after that. In 54k miles I've had little problems here and there, but is there a shifter form that has proabbly gone the way of the dodo?

Think it's time for a trans rebuild or a new clutch. Just my two cents. Just took mine down. Pressure plate and flywheel had some heat checks on them, but the friction plate was plenty thick. Was thinking about a budget rebuild. Was going to just resurface the flywheel and slap on a new pressure plate. Think I'll get a new street dual from Ram instead and a Fidanza 12.5lb flywheel.

+1 on the rebuild, sounds like it may be time.
