Default Need info on TKO-600

Need some good info on the swap, what it needs to fit perfectly, drivability...etc

TKO 600 ratios : 2.87 1.89 1.28 1.00 (0.82 or 0.64 for 5th)

T-56 ratios: 2.66 1.78 1.30 1.00 0.74 0.50

any advice? this will be under atleast 600rwhp turbo car , I really need some inputs and need to hear your experiences.

this is a street/strip car, and decided to go for the TKO since parts r cheaper than the T-56 especially I will be making more power year after year.

another question is can somebody make the TKO-500 3rd gear ratio 1.34 work on the TKO-600? the problem is that I can't see many ratio choices especially that this transmission is an aftermaket production.

Thanks!

As far as mating it to the engine, I did some research in the conversion/hybrid forum. Check this thread, sssuch gives the lakewood bellhousing part # he used.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/374689-ls1-tremec-tko.html

Also, datsbad used these parts after talking to mcleod's tech line:
clutch disc mcl-260873 $132.39
pressure plate mcl-360820 $187.69
steel flywheel mcl-460535 $323.29
hydralic throwout bearing *** mcl-14005-30 $430.23

As far as fitting it into the car, I can't help there.

You could always just buy a Rockland Standard Tranzilla, and never worry about it again.

i have the lakewood bellhousing but i decided to stay with t56 setup. want to buy mine? the tko setup would be good for much more hp/tq than the t56 could ever hope for, but if i go that route it wont be for a while. as far as aftermarket, i know that its almost all geared toward ford guys (which isnt a big deal) but i don't know about parts availability. call up one of the many vendors (google search) and see what they say.

I couldn't find a price on their site, but I've heard (don't quote me) >$5K. I believe you go directly to RSG (Rockland Standard Gear) for this box.

I am just wana have more idea about what exactly i wana do in the next couple of months. I dont wana pay twice for a transmission upgrade. this year i will be pushing for around 600rwhp next year 750rwhp ..etc I wana pay for a solid heavy duty trans that support me in the track and would be drivable for my 50mi weekly driving on the street.

I might give those guys a call http://modularmustangracing.com/ soon and see what they say.

Thanks for the offer by the way.
