Default bellhousing blanket

If i remember correctly, there isn't a saftey blanket that fits our bellhousing?

has anybody found one to fit right?

This one's built for the t-56 and fits like a glove. 2nd from bottom:

I installed it by dropping the cross member and lowering the tailshaft of the trans, without fully removing the trans.

All the blankets I've seen are SFI 4.1 which is the spec for autos. Manuals need 6.1. So it's better than nothing, but not a replacement for a scattershield.

so lets say my spec 5 explodes on me. will that SFI 4.1 protect me some? I mean its got to be better than nothing!

Disk or PP? IMHO the best thing is the McLeod bellhousing but the one on a friend's car was a PITA to make fit.

yeah thats the reason i'm avoiding the McLeod is because I've seen everybody say what a PITA it is. I figure getting a blanket would be better than nothing!
