Default UMI short stick installed

Just got my UMI short stick and installed it on fri. The verdict is still out but so far i like it. it took a little getting used to but i'm readjusting the way i shift. at first i was missing 2-3 more than normal but i think i got a hang on it now. shift speeds are getting back up to par. i am hearing more noise from the tranny up through the shifter but i guess thats the price you pay. as of right now i would recomend it.

Thats to be expected. The stock stick had a rubber isolater that made the noise not noticable.

That would be a pain in the *** when you change clutch/tranny set up 3 times a year.

Nah, when you change the clutch and tranny you remove the shifter with the base and all, in other words, the entire assembly. I am talking about the bolts that hold the shift lever to the shifter base. I havent had to touch them through two tranny removals.

Yes, you should definetly use loc-tite! I used it and mine still backed out a bit but that was because my loc-tite was old. You dont want the stick to come off in your hand, that would be bad...
