Clutch overheated at Road Atlanta - how to fix?
While shifting from 3rd to 4th on the backstretch at Road Atlanta, shifter wouldn't go into 4th, so I thought I would double clutch it to get it in - pedal stayed on the floor ! Fortunately, my dad taught me a long time ago how to shift without the clutch, but it took me all the way down the backstretch and thru the next to turns to finally get it into a gear to get it off the track. It would have been pretty embarrassing to have to be towed off the track and making everyone stop. WHEW!! Once it cooled down it seemed to work OK, so I drove it the rest of the day on the track but very conservatively. I know nothing about clutches. From searches I gather I should 1)change fluid and 2)get a power bleeder and bleed. Anything else? I do not want this issue again. Thanks for the input.

the only lap time I have is 1:49; I have tons of video, just need to condense it down to a couple of mins. Here is the link to a thread with pics -

And here is a thread from in Sept with a lap behind the pacer car -
