It's getting pretty hard to get my car in first gear. Every once and awhile it will slide right in but most the time I either have to really push it in. Sometimes it helps to got N to 2nd then to 1st and it slides right in. Sometimes it helps if I pump the pedal a couple times before going to 1st. What causes this? Am i looking at serious tranny problems?

Check fluid level. There is a pipe plug on the left/upper of your transmission, it is "fill to spill". I had jiffy lube check mine, they did it for free and I tipped $5 b/c the let me under the car and checked diff fluid and let me look at the U-joints and all.

I'm pretty sure its full. Although I have't checked lately but there are no leaks and I changed it about 8 months ago and it was good a full.
