Default Wot Issues Ls1 Joe / Textralia Guys

blue Ok, here's what I'm going through...I recently went from a spec 3+ to the textralia 0z700..The spec held for about a month then started to slip under high rpm's..I never had an issue engaging the clutch into 2,3, or 4 gear under wot..When it started to slip I bought the tex...Now, I've installed the tex,new flywheel, slave, throw out bearing, and pilot...I've put about 3 thousand miles on the clutch and broke in in right..Was told I could get right on it but I had some other parts that didn't make it in time for the track..I'm having issues getting the new clutch to engage under wot from 2,to3, and 3, to 4..it will shift fine in any gear as long as I'm under 5k...I've built this car to be way above 6k and take it...I'm wanting to see what could be causing this...I just read about the blockers could be an issue...This is the stock tranny.85k on it..clutch,motor,rear end, and everything else in sig is less than 3 months old..Before I pull everything out, I was trying to see if it is a tranny or a clutch issue, or a combo of both..With the new clutch and rear end it has not seen the track...Have had issues shifting 2,to 3, and 3,to 4, under WOT since putting in the new clutch...It doesn't slip,,,actually it grips like a ****...I just can't reap the benefits of all the money I've spent....PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Ok, here's what you need to do from the experience I have had with my car. Get a Mcleod adjustable master cylinder, replace the slave cylinder if you didnt when you installed the TEXtraila, make sure you have done the drill mod to the stainless steel line, and for good measure wrap the hydraulic line with something to insulate it. I used some rubber emissions hose. I use Valvoline Synpower brake fluid for the clutch with good results.

it sounds like you need more seperation and it is not disengaging enough. a adjustable master or shim should fix it. sorry I just now responded we are at the airport on our way to pri in orlando.

thanks

Mine was doing the same thing-I installed a Centerforce clutch, new master(gm) new slave (gm) Put it all back together and still would not shift over 5k. Pulled the tranny out and took it to Joe @ t56rebuilds. They found 2nd and 5th gear gone, sincros and key were chewed up. So I got their basic package and had them replace the gears. Put it all back together and still nothing over 5k. I had bought the old syle 11" centerforce(which joe told me to put in the trash and i didn't listen) from jegs. Joe told me this could be the problem with mine but after they found all that was wrong with the trans i decided to use it anyway. So i pulled the trans once again and took joes advice and drop kicked the centerforce out of my car and installed a LS7 clutch kit. Finally my car shifted at 6200 with no problems. So in my case it was a comb. of broke tranny and POS clutch. Just thought i would share my story since i have gone through everything you are. Hope this may help you out!
