LS7 Clutch Done!

LS7 Clutch Done!
I had been putting this project off since August....finally its in. Most of the install was very straight forward. It was weird because I was missing one bolt off the tranny to the bell housing and on the bell housing one of the bolts was bout to fall off ( i dont see how).!
Anyhow everything is back on and I just need to bleed the slave. It's not working the old fashion way pumping and bleeder screw. I'm going to see if I can get the mity vac.
At this point the clutch barely engages and when it does it does right on the floor.
This is normal correct?
Oh and just some quick snaps of the old stocker 83k miles.

Try bleeding the master, apply vac to the top opening on the master on the top of the lid. You wont see bubbles but just do this for about 10-15 seconds keep it around - 10-15in to be safe. Then pump the pedal, this usually works amazing after doing the drill-mod.

hey man, heres some advice i just did my clutch last night and had the same issue so what i did was bleed the master. Bench bleed it. without the slave get ALL the air bubbles out of the amster then bleed the slave if you need to know how to bench bleed just post here again

Just mity vac it from the resivor like the write up says too. It will take all of 10-15 minutes. I didn't even see any bubbles when I did mine & it was doin the exact same thing. It would start & run but not go into any gear.
If at all possible you don't want to have to remove the MC.

i just installed my ls7 this past weekend and it did grap close to the floor but i've been abusing it all weekend and it is starting to grap a little higher. i didn't have any trouble bleeding it even with a new slave. i guess i got lucky. but you are going to luv that clutch. only thing i regret is not doing it sooner

I did my LS7 about 3 weeks ago and so far I love it. The clutch I took out looked exactly like yours. The flywheel was all warped and heat marked but the disk actually had a lot of meat on it. I just bled my clutch the good old fashioned way with the bleeder on the slave and it works great. She'll bark 3rd at 80mph but I've yet to get 4th.
