Seach isnt working, how much hp does a stock t56 hold? Im putting a heads/cam combo on my car. looking for around 420rwhp. I don't powershift the car either but do drag race it on street tires since i have the stock rear. Should the tranny be fine? Im guessing yes, but what kind of power are people putting down and racing with a stock t56.

What you may find on the internet is one thing. It may say around 400hp, but my mechanic told me he's seen them hold around 700 at the wheels and not show signs of wear. They're one hell of a transmission.
