t56 removed. question

Default t56 removed. question

there's a black tube from the top of the transmission on the middle running freely with a white top. where does it go?

has a little plastic do-dad on top? it's a vent tube....

also when i was taking the transmission out a lot of dark brown fluid came out from where i took the driveshaft out. was that transmission fluid. sorry for all the qs? but is my first time taking the transmission out.i'm just replacing the slave. do i need to flush or bleed anything before i put the new one

Fedge got it, that is the vent tube. And yes, that fluid that came out from where you removed the driveshaft is the transmission fluid. It's supposed to be red. When's the last time you drained the old stuff and put new fluid in there?

never had. i bought the car a year ago. is there anything i should do before i put everything together

Just make sure you slide the trans in smoothly, some white litium grease on the input shaft might make it a little easier. Oh, and don't forget to connect all the sensors.
