got a 98 z28 M6 and i like the look of the z06 vette shift **** (black leather with brushed aluminum shift pattern on top) well they cost a boat load so i bought one for a 03-04 cobra which looks the same, accept the thread is too small, so i just want to drill it out and tap new threads so it will fit on my shifter, if anyone knows the thread size that would be awesome

Thread size is 16mm X 1.5 . I bought a die for mine to smooth the threads out after I cut it shorter. You have any pictures of the cobra ****?
