Default Differences between LT1 T-56 and LS1 T-56?

Okay every time I try and use search it gives me an error message so I'll just post this up. I'm new to F-bodies but not new to forums in general, but anyways heres my question

Does the t-56 out of an LS1 have a different bellhousing than a t-56 out of an LT1? I know the throwout bearing is different but have heard 2 differing opinions on the bellhousing. I know everything else is basically identical.

Oh, and if you can tell me how to use search successfully that would be great and I'd save everybody having to reply to my thread. Thanks

You can't interchange them, if that's what your asking. The bellhousing is different, input shaft length is different and some other things.

yup, just got off the phone with t-56 rebuilds...Input shaft and front plate are different but a LT1 T-56 can be made to fit an LS1...Just takes a little work and a few hundred bucks

Thanks for the replies guys
