Default 6 speed conversion?

I did do a search. Do i need a 6 speed wiring harness?

no you don't need one, it will make the swap cleaner though. If you go through the sticky in the manual forums it tells you what wires you need to splice for the manual to function as advertised with the A4 harness

no, i spliced and diced and I think it was faster than swapping harnesses.

If you have a M6 harness what will you still need to splice??? I read that sticky and got confused, seemed like it was all towards using an A4 harness..

you should only have to splice the wiring on the inside, I think all there is is the clutch safety switch and the cruise cut off switch that goes on the clutch. I haven't seen the M6 harness though, i'm sure someone else could tell ya. With the A4 harness you have to do all that, plus every pigtail for the transmission. granted the VSS just needs to be lengthened, but you still have the reverse lockout, cags, reverse light switch and I think there's one I'm missin?
