Shifterboot retention ring?

I know that Farmer2 made a metal retention ring, but I cant to him through pm, does anybody know how to get a hold of him?

Also are there any other solutions to the cheap plastic ring that is broken on my 976spd

I took my broken plastic ring and epoxied some heavy wire across the broken areas, it has lasted 3 years this way.

I'd just wait it out and get one from farmer2. I got one about a month ago and it looks and fits awesome! Its super durable too.
