Default i know everyone asks but wich clutch please help

ok so im gona make this as short as possible i have a 02z with bolton cam and 100 shot i had a spec 3 wich lasted 22,000 miles cam only then after 2 days of spray it took a major crap. Question is should i go with the spec 3 again or the ls7? The car gets drove on weekends only and ran at the track once a month for a bout 3-5 passes. And im in college so money is hard to come by so i nead one that will hold anonther 22,000 miles and dosnt cost n arm n a leg

How much power are you making? I have the LS7 clutch in my car(mods in sig). I havnt had it at the track since the cam, so i couldnt tell you how it does there. But from what ive heard the ls7 will start slipping up around 470ish whp. I would also recommned looking into the 3+. I wish i would have gone with something that could handle a little more power when i did my clutch, but i didnt really have any plans on camming it at that time.

Stock clutch FTW!!! Mine held up with almost 500HP on spray. The only reason i swapped it was because I was putting a new engine in and figures why not upgrade the clutch. My stock clutch PWN3D all other stock clutches.

Yeah and i have been spraying on it a few years too. As a matter of fact, that clutch is for sale now. Anyone want it? It still holds like a champ.

To meet your criteria, I'd recommend the RAM Powergrip HD.

Since you don't drive it all that much you'll love it. It will definately hold the power. And fall within your budget.

Thats bad ***, I have 32k on the original clutch in my car, I picked her up at 30.5k of which was driven by a woman who raced 9 second stangs so I guess she can drive a stick.

When the cam goes in with the 12 bolt, id like to see how long it last.

my stock LS6 clutch has been in my car for almost 94k miles 21k+ of which were my driving which isn't exactly easy. i have a LS7 setup sitting in my room awaiting install which i would think would hold up just as long, pretty much the main reason i bought it.

The thing to remember is "plan ahead." If you are going to continue to mod your vehicle get a clutch that meets the power level that you are shooting for. If you keep this in mind you should be good to go. Thanks,

I got my 3+ in and I really like it, it just takes a little while to get used to compared to the stock clutch.
