Default stripped out tranny cross member bolts

the two on the drivers side i stripped out with an impact wrench when iwas puttin my t56 back in and i thought i was screwed till i went ahead and tryed a hexi coil and a bunch of washers and that seems to be workin but it doesnt seem like it will hold does anyone else have any input or ideas here?

Retap it and use a larger bolt, also use an air ratchet next time and leave the impact gun for your lug nuts.

I did the same thing.

Could a weak crossmember bolt cause a loud clunking noise when going fast over bumps?

hand start it before you gun them in. and if you do gun them in..dont put the gun at full force.

Like posted above, air ratchet in the future, tap the hole to the next larger size. Also could weld fill the holes and retap to the proper size but thats probably more work than its worth.

alirght the heli coils are temp. holding if they break or come out, i will tap the hole to a bigger size and throw a new bolt in there.
