HELP!! should I go witht the spec2+ or LS7
Ok I have had the spec 2+ and had great results in my last car. I was making 340rwhp and put that clutch through hell. it lasted 20k. Its now time for a clutch in my new car. Its a bolt on car, probaly around 340ish rwhp. but Im planning to spraying 100. Im not going to ever put any super serious tires on or anything, but I do street race mostevery weekend. should I go back with the spec2+ or LS7 even though the flywheel is heavier and will cost me a few hp? Also I hate the spec 3 chatter and the way it engages so thats out. And I dont have the funds for a tex either. I dont like the stiffnes of the RAM either. Thanks, Brett

The LS7/LS2 flywheel is the same weight as the LS1 flywheel, the clutch assembly itself weighs about 5 pounds(?) more. But, the clutch assembly for the LS7 is smaller in diameter than a stock LS1 clutch, so the inertia will be closer to an LS1 clutch than you would expect a 5 pound heavier clutch to be. Therefore you should not lose much horsepower at all, and if you do lose horsepower then rejoice in the added torque, hehehe.
