Default Need some tranny help?

Hey everybody i just bought a 99 z28 m6 and im havin a few problems. When i test drove it it grinded 2nd a couple of times but only really when i got on it n tried shifting fast. The guy said hes had to double clutch it for like two years. I thought it might be the clutch or a bent shift fork of the syncronizer might be out. It only does it in second gear. Every other gear shifts really smooth. Another thing is the clutch doesnt engage until i let it out about three or four inches. I dont think that is normal because my brother has a 99 ta n he said when he lets his clutch out it engages after he lets it out like a half inch. If it isnt what kind of clutch do you think i should get or what else could i do to fix? Thank you guys for your help
Matt

two years of clutching/ shifting problems will certainly damage your synchros. What may have started as a clutch system issue may have migrated to a clutch and trans issue. You could start with a release system bleed. This may only help some and a full trans rebuild may be in order.

You need new syncro's and try bleeding your clutch.
