Just depends on location. GM Synchromesh is a thicker fluid so in cold climates customer complain of hard shifting. Mobil 1 is thinner than GM Synchromesh. Mobil 1 is also easier to get and less expensive than getting it from the dealership.

Royal Purple Synchromax (Synthetic) Good stuff, got it in my 94 Z28 that I autocross and do driving schools with, 97000 miles and still shifts like hot knife through butter.

No the guys at liberty tell us no royal purple at all. It has an additive that is know to cause blocker ring problems. We used it forever in our rebuilds without issue but tremec will not warranty parts if you use it.

Thanks,
Amber
