Question Need some help please guys.

How do I move the shifter cup, (where it`s attached to the selector shaft by means of a roll pin,) slightly further forward, on my T56. I cant select all gears as there`s not enough throw to get 1st 3rd and 5th.

Thanks
Pete

You cannot, it only goes on the selector shaft in the roll pin hole.
Sounds like you have internal problems there.

Or can you select without a stick in place ?

When I had the original stick, I could select all gears.

I think I can solve the problem by elongating the holes in the cover plate, sliding the cover plate backwards, fitting washers under the bolts, then tighten the bolts and weld the washers in the new position.

I`ve clamped the cover plate in that postion and all gears were selected ok.

My B&M shifter actually comes with elongated holes, with washers to match, offering 2 or 3 shifter base locations.

foreward, middle and rearward.

I knew it would be wise to open out that tunnel !!!!!!! lol
