Is it at take off? I need a little more info. I had a grinding sound at take off and turns out which I beleive what the throwout bearing. I had it rebuilt so I didn't get a chance to really see the problem. Anyways that weasn't so much of a howl, it was more like a grinding issue.

Maybe your hearing your gears, and not the tranny?
