Clutch bleeding problem.

Clutch bleeding problem. I spent probably 2-3 hours trying to bleed my clutch last Sunday.Took car for it's first ride today.Clutch didn't seem to disengage fully,it wouldn't go into reverse without some serious force.I drove it around the block twice and tried to bleed the clutch again in the traditional manner.Now my pedal won't even come up by itself.I'm pushing the pedal down,cracking the bleeder,closing the bleeder and pumping the pedal and repeat.Just like brakes.AmI doing it wrong?Why did my pedal get worse?Please someone give me some advice.Thanks

I tried to bleed it for another half hour with no sucess.I was looking at the resevoir while my son was pumping it.I noticed bubbles coming up in the resevoir.Then we got a pedal.It seems fine but I don't get what happened.

Sounds like you have a bad master cylinder or slave. If you bleed it correct it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to do.
Heres the process I go by: Pump about 10 times, crack bleeder open, push pedal in and hold, close bleeder, repeat. Make sure to alway have fluid in the resevoir or you'll suck more air in.
