Starting a m6 (how far do you push the clutch in)
On my TA if i push the clutch to the floor and turn the key it will not start. I have to let it up about a 1/2" to 1" for the car to start. Is this normal or a bad sign. Also I think my throwout bearing is going, about once every two weeks I have to pull up the clutch pedal up the rest of the way with my foot after a shift.

Its your clutch switch. Its a little switch down by the pedal that activates when the pedal is all the way down. Yours must be knocked out of place.
As for the clutch staying on the floor, that could be anything from needing fresh fluid/bleeding or a bad slave or master cylinder. Does it stick to the floor when you are driving normal or only when you are getting on it.

It does not stick to the floor, just stops right above the firction point. hard to describe, It stops coming up right after there is no more friction. I am almost sure I need a new clutch, just checking to see if anyone else had these problems and if so how long did their clutch last.
brad8266 thanks for the on the switch I will check it out
