Default machining the flywheel

I have a spec stage 2 clutch and i wanna upgrade it to a stage 3 clutch, the flywheel has two hot spots in it would you reccomend i machine it, by the way I have the spec bilet steel flywheel. IAll help is greatlty appreciated

Yeah take it to a machine shop. My FW was all gouged up with hotspots, 30 bucks and 30 minutes later she looked brand new

when the flywheel is machined do they face it or do they grind the face? does anyone know

make sure to get them balanced or you will get a really good vib. around 2200 to 4600 or so RPM. I thought that spl would send the flywheel and ls6 disk and presure late already balanced but they were 43 grams off.

I would wait till you have the new clutch in hand and have the flywheel surfaced and balanced with the new clutch at the same time.
