Make sure you use a resurfaced or brand new flywheel and also be sure that all surfaces are cleaned with brake cleaner before install. All bolts must be torqued properely and evenly. 52lbs on the flywheel bolts and 72 on the pressure plate bolts, use red locktite on these bolts so they dont loosen up. I also suggest using an adjustable master cylinder.

my spec4 has held up well. just pulled it to fix the hydrolics that blew on it.
after about 6K miles of street use, the disc has barely worn at all (stock its .310" thick...mine is .305").
it did chatter for a while, even after the 500 mile break in. i'd say at lest up to 1000 miles or so. but now it's fine

good clutch. make sure you tighten the flywheel bolt tight. clean the surface of the flywheel prior to install. Get a good solid clutch pedal and a 01 up master and slave. I used oem on my car with 89k( might want to get new parts if your funds allow). Now if you do all of that including the obvous resurface of flywheel or new one you should be fine. It will whine if you slip it, litteraly whine. My chatter went away for the most part by 150 miles.
