Default Spec Stage 1?? Anyone Running it?

Im looking for a clutch for my moms 80k 2000 Z28. Im leaning towards the Spec Stage 1, because she doesnt race, and the only mod is a lid. Nothing else will be done to the car, its just a daily driver and the spec is cheaper than an LS6 ZO6 clutch. So would this clutch work well? Can anyone recommend another clutch for this app? TIA.

I would just get either an LS1 or LS7 clutch.

I Would Go for the Ls6 or Ls7 clutch. i hear all this talk about spec clutches and how they are garbage and last only 10-15 thousand miles.

There are lots of folks running our stage 1's that have had them for much longer than the mileage insinuated above. As always clutch life is dependent on break-in, surface flatness (flywheel), and driving style. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,

My Spec stage 1 lasted about 30K. I have the LS7 now and find it to be a better match for our car.

Centerforce I is another option. Without a flywheel you can do it for about $300-$350 and it has a slight larger disc and supposed better clamping force because of their weight system.
