Default Master cylinder help

I'm underneath the dash and the retaining plate after the 13 mm bolts on the cylinder won't budge!

I'm following it up the reinforcement and found no way to "unbolt" the plate from the arm. It seems to be one whole piece it holds the clutch safety switch and some other switch on it too.

This is driving me nuts as my back is in agony trying to figure out how to get past this one little plate.

Well why are you trying to get that plate off? The master will come out without taking that plate off. Just unbolt the nuts and pull it out from under the hood.

It was pressing onto the star washer pretty well that I couldn't yank it off. I ended up pulling on it hard then cutting the star washer.
