Default Heavy chatter with Tex OZ700

Got my Tex OZ installed about two weeks ago. I have only had a chance to put 130 miles on it so far. It is chattering BAD in first gear, feels like it is going to shake the car loose and it makes pretty good noise too. Normal?

What about break in too. I've read some of saying baby the car for 500-1000 miles and some saying dump it and it will be fine. So what's the deal?

Dump it and run.....I had a little chatter at first....got rid of it around 300 miles....the more you abuse it, the better it gets..

Drive up stop and goish for another 400 miles should be good. If installed properly.

Dumping the clutch wont break it in. If you ride it out a little with a few extra revs, this is the best method. Don't get it too hot at first during the break-in and you'll be right for the future.

I heat cycled my clutch a bunch of times driving around town and on a college campus that has a lot of stop signs and requires a lot of shifting. Tex doesn't say what milage to go through but it says a few heat cycles. I had a good amount of chatter for the first 200 miles and then Tuesday I took her wide open and no more chatter.

Got to be honest I have floored a few times, did I toast my new clutch? Or will it be ok with normal city driving for 400 miles or so?

You've basically got alot of small high and low spots on the disc that need to be evened out...do a few higher RPM 2nd gear starts letting out the clutch slowly....that can help knock them down sometimes.

As my exoskel would get to chattering bad i'd do some 2nd gear start offs with rpm's around 4000 and ride the clutch out and let it pull the motor down. It would smooth it out for a while.
