Pro 5.0 clicking?

Pro 5.0 clicking? Is there any way to stop the pro 5.0 shifter from making a 'click' sound every time it goes into gear? I am told these are the stops to keep it from going too far. Can I take those out, or possibly adjust them so it doesn't do that any more?

I know I've got to pull the console out to get to it, so I figured I'd ask if this was even even a fixable thing before I did that. It was installed by the previous owner...
