leaking bleeder valve, what to use ?

leaking bleeder valve, what to use ? what should i use on my bleeder to get it to stop leaking? i have a remote bleeder and at the area where it threads into the slave it is leaking.
it leaked real bad the first time and i took it all out and tighten it up and this time it still has a slow leak.
teflon tape?
