Default Textralia Fastener/Balance Questions

I see the Textralia advertised with ARP pressure plate bolts and with an ARP bolt kit, are these one in the same? Does it come with ARP flywheel bolts as well?

I have also seen no balancing required and then other guys say they need balancing. Let me tell you, this is extremely confusing. What is the real answer, can I take it from the box and install it?

This is a nasty job on a Vette, not something I want to do twice.

Don't know about the fasteners, but someone asked the balancing question the other day. Take a look at the thread.

Saw that thread before I posted, and hence the confusion:

"I had mine balanced before I installed it and the pressure plate was noticibly off, the flywheel was good though."

that was me, the first clutch i installed was a spec who claimed it was balanced, when installed it caused a very bad vibration in the engine so i tore it back apart to find out the assembly was 60 something grams out of balance. so not wanting to go thru that scenario again i took my tex to get balanced and it was something like 30 grams out. very happy with the tex clutch.

Everyone is telling me install from the box, not sure why yours was so far off. If I add up the LS7/Fidanza flywheel (to keep the weight to LS6) and balancing I am almost to the price of the Tex, but the need to re-balance would add to this and of course the only place I know of to get the balancing done is 100 miles away.

I installed mine straight from the box. No vibrations. I was told that they are zero balanced as a complete unit before they are shipped.

My current understanding is the Tex comes with ARP fasteners for the pressure plate only, is this correct as well?

I used the exo-skel and all my fasteners were hardened allen headed bolts. It was all assembled upon shipment so I did not see what box the bolts came out of to verify ARP or not. Not sure of the specs on their other clutches. If you are asking if it comes with hardened flywheel bolts, I highly doubt it. Mine did not come with flywheel bolts. Talk with Young over at Byunspeed.com. He is an authorized dealer and will be happy to answer all your questions.
