What has been the result? I've read all positive feedback, and I'm getting ready to do this + install the hurst shifter I have laying around.

My roommate's Z28 was noticably improved (probably just from the new ATF, of course)

What has been the result?

Why? Do you really want to do your own synchronizer system degradation test? Even if you got the stuff free, why risk YOUR trans?

I'd personally rather use what works. Plus I'd rather not have anything to do with Honduh in my car.

I use Toyota type T fluid. Used to be $10 a qt when I use to work for them, don't know if it is still that much. I would have to think the Honda stuff would be the same. Don't really notice any difference at all.

I ran Honduh ATF Z1 in all my F-bodies, I use Mobil 1 in my Vette though. What's this about eating synchros?

I think he was just saying that it wasn't a common thing, and if I wanted to be the first to experience it, that's fine with me.

It went in 4 cars that I know of. My TA, roommates Z28 (t56), Manual 5.0 and a Manual Ranger.

All are working just fine, despite the fact they are beaten on daily.

I had Honda ATF in my trans for about 3-4k miles.

It was noticeably louder while driving. You could hear the gears spinning in the transmission. It was louder because it is a thinner fluid, allowing sound to pass through it easier.

I recently changed it over to Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF and it quieted things down immensely.

No difference for me other than added noise.

I did notice the noise increase.

Is this a good or bad thing is the question?

Extra noise is never a good thing.

I don't know if it would harm anything, but, for peace of mind I changed it out for the more proven fluid and am more than content with it. When I had the Honda ATF in my transmission, it felt a lot more "notchy." Like it wasn't a sufficient thickness to "pad" the trans. Like putting 0w20 in your engine instead of 5w30. It's a much thinner fluid.

I was thinking along those lines. To be honest, I put it in with a nrew shifter, so I didn't feel a ton of difference.
