Default where to find high perf. T56

I'm putting together a '57 Bel-Air. I've got the new LSX block and am aiming at hitting 1000 RWHP. The car will be street driven. I really want to run a 6 speed trans in the car but am wondering where I can get one that will stand up to the power. Also, what clutch would you reccommend I run with it?

Give me a call at the shop tomorrow. We have built transmissions in just about every kind of application.

Thanks,

Rockland Gear can build a tranny to hold that much power. I have one myself and been happy with it. You will also need a pretty stout clutch and i would suggest a dual plate EXEDY. www.rsgear.com

The limitation on the T56 currently is the CASE which won't make it past around 1200 hp.

I have never seen a case break. Under Ground Racing is making well over the 1500rwhp mark and they have never broken a case.

Tell you what AMBER, if you will give me a 1 year guarantee on a tranny and clutch setup on my twin turbo 1500 HP 69 camaro and I am a buyer RIGHT NOW. I much prefer the T56 but I got a ROSSLER 4L80E instead because I could not find ANYONE that would stand behind a t56 setup at those power levels. Rockland tells me they are breaking cases near the 1200HP level so unless you are doing something different which is possible of course, I can't see how a T56 is going to be able to handle that type of power. I will give you a call later.

Well again we have built more than 850 of these over 50 making 1200+. Hennessey, RSI and Under Ground have been making 1200+ for several years on the T56. None of them are breaking cases. We build the ones for RSI and Hennessey and we have yet to see a broken case. Now I am not saying it is not possible I am just saying I find it hard to believe at 1200+ HP people are breaking cases. RSI made 1474RWHP 2 years ago we built and it hasn't broken the case.

As for warranty there is no one that I know of that will offer you a warranty. G-Force only warranties there gear set up to 900rwhp. I will offer you a warranty that you won't break a case but I won't offer you a warranty on the gear set.
