Default T56 removal

Ok, I'm trying to yank my transmission out of my 2000 T/A. I don't need to pull the flywheel housing because the clutch only has 20000 miles on it so I'm just trying to separate the tranny from the BH. Problem is I've removed 8 bolts and it still doesn't want to separate. I can't find any more bolts on the outside attaching it. What am I missing? It looks to me there is the tranny, an adapter plate, and then a BH. Is there bolts on the inside of the BH that attaches to the tranny?

Are you trying to pull it down or back toward the rear of the car?

It has to be pulled back before it can come down.

Also did you take the shifter off?

There two dowel pins on near 3 and 9 o clock. Try prying lightly in the area.....

I was wondering about dowel pins but the rebuild manual I bought sucks on the down parts. Yeah, shifter is missing in action. Thanks a bunch guys.

Anytime man.

You could always get a really skinny flathead screwdriver and pry with that.

You dont want to do any damage so try and go with a real thin one.
