Does factory hurst shifter need rtv?

Default Does factory hurst shifter need rtv?

I put rtv on with my pro 5 and hurst billet but going back to factory hurst. Does it need rtv?

I think you're always supposed to RTV it, as fluid can slosh around in there (a lot of us use this to fill the tranny). I reinstalled my factory shifter after doing a clutch/pp/slave and I used rtv.

Yes seal it as with any shifter bolted on there.
