Shifter **** issues
Well, I just bought a WS6 store short stick and when I put my factory HURST **** on the new shaft, It will tighten in a position where it wasnt before. Its not lining up like it should. What do I do? Anybody have problems like this before? If I leave the **** in the position where its supposed to be at, its too loose. How do I go about fixing this problem?

Back when I bought my **** from MBA, it came with some small thin plastic shims that you put in the bottom of the **** hole to make it tighten up sooner and line up. Figured out which was the correct thickness, installed it and no problem. Make you some thin shims out of maybe some metal flashing or something like that.

Exactly what sunsetta said, just get some thick paper or flat washers and set them on top of the shaft. Screw the **** down and see if it lines up...if not add or subtract the correct thickness to get it where it needs to be. The blue loctite also works, but sometimes can be a pain when trying to get it back off after the loctite has dried.

what you can do is use a tap and die to make just a few more threading so it lines up correctly. that's what i did and it works great! (and i can get it off without breaking anything unlike loc-tite). you also won't ever lose shims or washers if you remove the ****.
