what if you put pilot in backwards?

Default what if you put pilot in backwards?

What happends if you put the pilot bearing in backwards? Can somebody post a picture of the bearing in the block? PLEASE

I am just having a TON of problems with my hydraulics. Im fed up and droppin 300 for new slave and master. God I hope this works

The end shown in the photo goes towards the crankshaft. The end towards the tranny will have a slight taper to the inside diameter and you won't be able to see the needle bearing cage. Hope this makes sense. I have photo's at home.

Mine is in backwards...never had a problem.

I can't imagine why it would cause any issues. The chamfered side is just to help guide the input shaft into the bearing....once its in, it functions the same regardless of direction

My car is over at Conley's getting a clutch install and the tranny was rebuild by t-56 rebuilds. Anyways, they said the old pilot bearing was installed backwards and when they changed it out, they didn't notice and put the new one in backwards too. Apparently when they were installing the tranny or the clutch or somethin, all the bearings fell out and they said they had to order a new pilot bearing too. They aren't chargin me for it or anything, and I'm not quite sure how that story makes since, but according to them, you shouldn't put it in backwards

I believe I put it n backwards, Does anybody have any pics before I take the clutch back off?
