Default difference between a LT1 t56 and LS1 t56?

What actaully sets the trannys apart? I'm considering on buying a LS2 to build on and I know the LT1 t56 isn't compatible. However, can I go to a tranny shop to have it modified?

Input shaft, front plate, and bellhousing. Clutch components as well, but that is a given.

don't forget that the T56s from the 93s (m28 and m29 codes) were different gearing and torque capacities.

mainly 1st and 6th.
