Default Grinding shifting into second, why?

I have one of those short throw attach shifters, didn't seem to have the problem with grinding when I first installed it going into second, but it has come loose and I have been tightning it down, also my shift **** (Hurst) I had to tighten this down, pretty good, it also kept coming loose? It seems like second has some play in it, sometimes I can avoid the grinding but not to much, it does it under heavy or light acceleration, Clutch is fully depressed. Thanx for your input.

Have you done the drill mod? If not you may wanna do that and also drain and replace all hydro fluid and bleed the **** out of it. I had the 2nd gear grind till I did the drill mod on the master cyl braided line.
