Default Clutch going out?

So I just put in my LCA relocation brackets which completely destroyed any wheel hop. I was workin on my launches today with the new nittos.

the situation:
Launch on the street at a shade under 3k with a dump. no bog, smooth launch, tires spin just a little. However, it seemed slow, and when I hit about 4k in 1st it jumped as if i had hit it with nitrous, a huge noticible gain in acceleration.
Could this be the clutch going out? I was busy watching the road so i didnt watch my speedo and tach to see anything funny (im assuming this is the only other way to tell). Also, it could be the tires kept spinning silently, but as loud as they were at first i really doubt it.

so my real question,
what are the tell tale signs that a clutch is going out?

Put it into 5th or 6th at about 40-50 mph... then give it full throttle, if the RPM's climb faster than your speedo, your clutch is out.
