Default clutch swith input circuit???

About a month ago i had a new ram clutch, fly wheel, slave cylinder, master cylinder installed into my 2000 camaro SS. Just recently my service engine light soon came on with a P0704 code. It said it was the clutch switch input circuit. I need to know how to fix it and should i be driving around with this problem in my car? please hit me back.

It's the clutch pedal safety switch not adjusted properly. Pull the driver side kick panel and look up at the clutch pedal linkage. You'll see a switch that needs to be adjusted so it engages and disengages as the pedal is pressed. In the mean time you'll be able to start the car without the clutch pedal depressed which could obviously be dangerous if the cars in gear.

I have a 2000 service manual and it looks like that switch cuts of the cruise control when the clutch is depressed. That is its only function as far as I can tell. If your cruise dont go off when you push in on the clutch the brake petal also has a switch that does the same thing. They are both wired together too.

The switch in my 1999 camaro would stay pushed in as if the clutch pedal was pressed when it was not. It allowed me to start the car without having to push the clutch. Stick that in your service manual and smoke it.

The spring inside the switch broke. Get a new switch.
