Default T-56 rebuild for dummies?

I have never cracked open a trans before, but i am really good with taking things apart and puting them back together without much problem. How difficult is this rebuild for an average guy and a case of beer? Also, are there any known instruction manuals to tackle this job?

Also, how much money am i looking at droping to fill the case with stout parts?

I'm also very good at taking things apart and putting them back together but the T-56 is where I draw the line. I took my T-56 out two and a half months ago and took it to Liberty to have the Pro rings taken off my gears and face plates welded on. The T-56 has end play measurements and certain things to look for that an untrained eye cannot catch so I took mine in and had them do everything. I think most dont charge too much for teardown and reassembly anyway. 6speedsinc.com is very good and you wont hear a bad word about them or their service on here. Liberty is also top notch but wait time is often long but the wait is worth it. Good luck.

Check out SixSpeedsInc.com.....I believe there is a manual posted on their site if you want to try to tackle it yourself, but I don't recommend it if you've never tore down a tranny before. Give Amber a call as well if you have any questions.

You could be looking at $950 for the small upgrades all the way to adding viper shafts for $800 and so on. Please give me a call if you have any questions as I would be glad to answer your questions.

Thanks,
Amber

Thanks to all for their replies, I think i will talk to Amber at six speeds inc. They seem to have a lot of choices and prices seem fair.
