Default T56 worth rebuilding if run dry on fluid

I have a T56 that has been laying around off of an LT1 that was run dry on fluid. It was only run dry for approx 15-20 miles. The car still moved but was making quite a racket. I was thinking about giving it a shot to rebuild this myself. I've rebuilt some trannys but wanted to know what other people's opinions were on trying a rebuild on a tranny that was run dry.

I'm guessing a typical rebuild of forks, sliders, keys, pads plus the main thing, bearings. What does everyone else think.

I'd like to rebuild it and sell it cheap to someone that would be willing to test it. I would offer a full refund if something did go wrong and would just take the tranny back.

Let me know what you think.

As long as everything isn't discolored from heat, It should be good with some new bearings

Awesome, well i'm going to pull it apart in the next week or 2. It was getting warm but was still cool enough to touch the input shaft with your hand.
