Default T-56 6th gear stuck

I am trying to rebuild my t56 but I cannot get 5-6 gear off. I broke my home made gear puller, I used metal straps to extend the puller jaws and I was cranking down on it got to the point I couldn't turn the puller anymore so I put the impact on it. Well as I kept hitting it with the impact i snapped the puller. I have not been able to get the gear to move at all, and yes I have all the c-clips off. Anyone have any ideas??

Where are you located? If you are in the LA area, you can bring it by and use my hyd press. Mine came out rather easy (Which I heard it shouldnt).

I have seen a few that where a biatch to get off. Some where replacing broken output shaft deals too.
I would hate to heat the gear, but you may have to try the press that would be the next logical step. Not much can hold up to that, & you'll have less of a chance of damaging the gear than with a puller if done correctly IMO.

I live in Colorado but thanks for the offer. I do have a hydraulic press I guess I am confused on how to use it to remove the gear. The gear sits down in the case. Some advice and the corect procedure would be appreciated.
