Can an LS style T56 be used behind another motor?

Default Can an LS style T56 be used behind another motor?

I'm wanting to put an LS style T56 behind a gen 1 SBC or BBC. Can it be used behind these motors? Someone told me the input shaft on the trans wouldn't allow it, but I don't see why.

Sounds like that someone is wrong, it can be done...
