i jus got my 99 six speed ls1, my 93 lt1 was an auto so i dont know much about the t56, when i first got it was really hard to get into reverse, then it started popping out of reverse everyonce in a while, no it jus wont go into reverse at all no matter how hard i push it? anyone got any suggestions bout wats wrong? im really hoping this wont be an expensive fix!

First thing I'd check is the ENG SEN fuse, it controls the reverse lockout solenoid. Might not be it, but something easy to try.
