Default line locks which shifter ****?

I just ordered line locks and would like to get a shift **** with a release button in the middle of it. I have a M6 I checked Jegs and the hurst website and didn't see any on those sites. Does anyone sell them?

Hurst Classic ball. Mine is white with black numbers, you can get black with white numbers as well. Button is real nice. Not in the way at all during shifting, and has a really nice positive click to it when you hit it. Shifter ball is a nice size and fits the stock threads.

I use mine for reverse lockout, and for a momentary line lock switch. You can order it via JEGS or Summit for not too much money.

Thumbs up

nice ride you got there. I had a 91 RS that I put a 383 carbed in. Loved the car but got tired of it. So that shifter came with the switch in it? I'll have to check jeg's again.

Yup, the shifter ball comes with the switch installed. Im not sure what the rule is with posting links to summit...so Im going to hold off on that. But if you go on Hurst's website and get the part number you can search with it on Summit. I thought I remember it coming up by a search though.

Well... the way Im using it for double duty is...

I have a relay set up for the reverse lock out. Then, when i want it to work as a line lock switch, I just have it power the line lock at the same time.

I have a toggle on the dash, and when I flip it, and hit the button, both the reverse lock out and the line lock solenoid will activate. Flip the switch again and it goes back to line lock only. I only have the line lock energized for a few seconds, so it doesnt hurt anything. Plus, that reverse lock out solenoid can be energized for a long period of time in the stock f-body. So even if I were to leave the line lock engaged for an extended burn out, it wouldnt hurt anything. So far, so good...works perfectly!
