'99 Z28 M6 - Safety Neutral Switch ??
i'd guess that there is a switch under the dash somewhere that kills the ignition if the clutch isn't depressed.
when i left work for home tonight, i pushed the clutch in as normal, turned the key and ...... nothing. let the clutch out, pushed it back in, turned the key and it started right up.
at first i thought that i just didn't have the clutch pushed in all of the way. but, then again, maybe this switch is going bad ??
so, is there in fact a "neutral safety" type of switch, and where is it located?? just in case i might have to put a new one in !!!!
thanks
bill

Yea there is. Get a flashlight and look under your dash. Its right next to your clutch pedal and it will be obvious. Just push the pedal down with your hand and watch as it contacts the switch.

MM6 "Safety Neutral Switch" Part # Please
Does anyone have a "working" part number for this switch? Auto Zone and O'Riley couldn't find the part for me. Mine is marked 10293267 and I did a search on that number, but (for the most part) only this forum came back. The number doesn't work on AutoPartsGIANT.com GMPartsDirect.com or RockAuto.com I would hate to pay GM $30 for a $10 part...
