Default Best LT1 Clutch

I have a 93Z. I was wondering in your guys expeirence what is the best clutch for a decent price. I tried to do a search but it requested a time out. I plan on porting the stock heads, 224/230 510/503 comp cam, headers, exhaust, Keith Black pistons, Scat Rods, stock crank, and all the little stuff along with bolt ons. What clutch you think will be the best?

I have a Ram HD clutch. SOOOO much better than the Spec stg.2 that was in it before. My mods are in sig so you know what the clutch is putting up with.

AVOID Mcleod Clutches. I went through two that lasted about 8 months a peice on a bolt on LT1. After the second one I threw in an O'reillys stock replacement clutch for $200. Three years later and its still holding fine, hmm....

That's pretty funny seeing that the Mcleod you talk **** about and the O'reiley's are the exact identical Valeo pressure plate. One is painted red and the other a natural color. You won't find a aftermarket manufacturer that does not buy their LT pressure plates from Valeo. Valeo is the largest Clutch Manufactuer on God's green Earth. The difference between aftermarket companies is in the friction materials. Is it even possible that it was installer error? Hmmmm???

My setup in sig is pretty much same as yours. Mccleod 7500rpm single disc on Ram Al flywheel. Bought the single disc seperate. Then I bought a clutch kit at Autozone and threw away the stock disc. Saved over $100 doing it this way. PP's are the same as stated above and all are LT4 PP's now a days.
