Default Chatter/Slippage

I've got a spec stage 3. When i first installed it i loved it. It gripped hard and i never had to worry about it. Now if i turn onto a side road and stomp on it it will chatter like hell or slip and then grab after. Anyone else had this problem with these cutches? I dont understand even with the power numbers i have with the nitrous i am still atleast 100 FT LBS below what the clutch is supposed to handle. Can anyone suggest another clutch for me? Numbers with spray are now about 460 and 600.

If it slips its worn out for one reason or another. The 3+ is a way better clutch and will hold your power. I have one and havent had a problem with it. A single disk textrailia or an LS7 would work for ya too.

The LS7 clutches are holding up to the shock of nitrous?

Slippage occurs for one reason or another...the point is to determine the cause and thus the solution. At this point we know the clutch worked fine initially. What if anything has changed? Ask yourself the following questions:

Has the pedal feel or engagement point changed?
Do I have a leak of some sort (hydraulic, rear-main)?
What flywheel am I using? Is it truly flat?
Is my hydraulic fluid clean and clear?
Are my Slave and Master Cylinder working properly?

In most instances you will find your cause in the answer to one of these questions. Provide me with more info and I will be happy to assist you further. Thanks!!!

It does that because its a puck design and its a spec 3. Mine did the same thing before it started slipping nonstop. I'm driving my car like a granny now.

Fantastic insight Chris...(Just kidding of course). Slippage occurs for a reason, the point is to determine the cause and thsu the solution. If you have an issue then feel free to send me some pics of the unit and I will be happy to assess it for you. Thanks!!!
